Sebastian Zapata – Tennis Trainer
Sebastian has been a tennis trainer since 2010 and received his certification from the Canadian national tennis association. He is very passionate about sharing the knowledge that he has gained over the years and really enjoys helping others to improve and learn about the game.
Sebastian started playing tennis at a young age and is still actively competing in national and international professional tournaments. He was also the recipient of a tennis scholarship to play varsity tennis in New York, USA. Throughout his tennis career he has travelled around the world playing and competing around different places in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. He has also been a hitting partner for several top 100 ATP and WTA players. In addition, he has had the opportunity to work with and be coached by some ATP players and coaches, including Guillermo Canas (formerly ranked #8 ATP), Roko Karanusic (formerly ranked #88 ATP), renowned Canadian coach Rob Steckley and Dutch coach Rudi Visser.
After working and competing in several different clubs around the world, Sebastian later discovered that there are a lot of misconceptions about the game, and that unfortunately for many club players these are being sometimes mistakenly taught. This was a problem that Sebastian struggled with, and through his own trial and error and the help of highly qualified coaches he has been able to see what really works and what doesn’t. Now he is ready to bring it into your local club and help players to take their game to the next level.
